What does a session look like?
From the moment you walk in the door we will go at your pace, and with your comfort zone. We will start with you laying out what you brought to wear. If there are several things I will help you narrow it down. The first look you will be more covered and will typically be not your favorite outfit/look, this gives us both time to warm up and for you to get comfortable and a little more in your body. From there we will ramp it up as desired. I will give you as much instruction and am happy to be as bossy as you need me to. That being said, it is my goal to capture you, and to do that I will give you prompts and then let you do your own thing and flow as much as you can on your own. Unlike some photographers, I tend to move myself more then I move you to get the angles I want, so if and when I give you less direction it is because you are doing great all on your own. At any point during our time together you need to pause, get some water, reset, have a question, get uncomfortable I implore you to speak up. I will of course do my best to watch for signs of needing rest or change and will give them to you as needed but don’t be afraid to tell me what you need. The goal is to set you up for success as best as possible.
What do I wear?
I always suggest matching bra and panties, I love a garden and stockings look, a teddy, Calvin’s, Skims, and heels. I think it really comes down to you and your style. Props can also be fun and help customize the the session to better reflect you and who you are, like sunglasses and jewelry.
How to prep:
In Advance:
If you are ordering things on line make sure to allow time for them to arrive and you try them on and switch them out if you need to (or order the things you want in a few sizes and return the ones that don’t work.
If you wax make sure to get a wax 2-3 days in advance to allow for any redness to go away but before any ingrown hairs can form.
Day of:
Lotion up
Make sure to wear loose fitting clothes to avoid making lines on your body. Ideally no bra and no socks and either undies that don’t leave marks or no undies.
Will you edit my strech marks and skin imperfections?
Yes and no. My rule for editing is I take away anything that wouldn’t be there in a week or two such a bruises, blemishes, scratches, etc. That being said on occasion I will brush/soften certain textures on skin.
What if I don’t want my images online?
If you would like to buy the rights to your images I am more than happy to keep your images just for you!
